The Prettiest Shops on the Planet: Part 3

So, here we are again . . . another Friday, another round of lovely shops to admire before we dive into the weekend and head out to start stocking up our summer wardrobes and freshening up our homes in preparation of the warm days ahead.

Saturday seems like the perfect day to toss those faded tank tops and to finally let go of the jeans with hems that the heels of our fabulous shoes have scuffed beyond repair.  And Sunday just might be the day to get out there and find a few new fantastic treasures to fill that newly empty space in your closet.

So without further adieu, the next five featured spots in part 3 of the 'Prettiest Shops on the Planet' . . .

1.) Renegade Handmade, Chicago-Wicker Park

2.) Dovetail Vintage & Repurposed Clothing Boutique, Chicago-Noble Square

3.) Kate's Paperie, NYC-SOHO (oh did I spend at least a day a week in this place, back when I was a New Yorker . . .)

4.) Saipua Soap & Flowers, Brooklyn, New York

5.) Red Velvet Shop - Springfield, Missouri

What I absolutely love about this shop is that two sisters, Emma & Elsie, have been selling vintage clothing and accessories together for about ten years under the name Red Velvet.

The Red Velvet shop has vintage clothing, handmade clothing, and cupcakes. Elsie focuses more on the clothing aspect of the store. Whereas, Emma does the baking for the store. They started selling at music festivals, then started a store on Commercial Street, a website, and now they've released the original Red Velvet dress line, inspired by the 50's and 60's and sold out in the blink of an eye . . .

And to top it off, these sisters are blogging superstars.  You can visit Elsie's blog here (she's the seamstress): A Beautiful Mess and Emma's blog here (she has the Sweet Shoppe):  Food Coma Blog And take my word for it, they are both absolutely amazing!

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!!
